This paper provides a survey of the hypotheses and evidence regarding alien abduction. This is a very through review of the literature from a respected voice in abduction literature. The paper covers various hypotheses, including a consideration of a veridical ET abduction hypothesis (experiencers are telling the truth), as well as perspectives from skeptical aspects of society. The paper was written in the mid-90s and is still worth reading.
