We will discuss all the details of session preparation and aftercare in our consultation and session. The sessions are either conversational or trance based. You will need a steady connection for the Zoom call (I can work with just the phone if you lack steady internet) and a private space. Our conversational sessions, like the our consultation and first session should be just like any other call for you. Our trance sessions involve a relaxed posture like a inclined chair, couch, bed, or floor.
The trance generally feels like a light nap and may people remark that they feel quite conscious. I use very gentle suggestions and avoid the classic hypnotic tropes because all we need is a gentle connection with your dreaming mind. However, we may revisit traumatic events or topics that have an uncanny feeling, which may have an impact akin to revisiting the events.
Some people naturally fall into what could be interpreted as mediumship, channeling, energy work, and so on, which may have an impact akin a spiritual revelation. Therefore, I recommend scheduling the session on days that you don’t have many other commitments so that you can focus on the session and integrate what may come up.
Our entire journey is directed by your intention, which may or may not be clear to you at the moment. You may want to spend time connecting with your intention before the session, using whatever way feels alive to you.
Before your session:
- Prepare your private space
- Plan spaciousness around your session
- Ensure a steady connection (or plan to use the phone with me)
- If trance session, ensure your microphone will pick up on a quiet voice (phones are usually fine, but distant computers without external mics pose a problem)
- Connect with your journey intention
After your session:
- Connect to the present through a meaningful ritual like meditation, grounding, eating a meal
- Journal or reflect on your session journey
- Perform an action of gratitude for guidance on your journey and for yourself for going on it
- At some later date, review your session recording
