Do you have an geometric body mark associated with dream, intuition, or encounter?
I’d love to see your mark and hear your story. If it meets my criteria, I will include it in my body mark database and new book.
Your story needs to already be public, but anonymous is fine. Send me a link at daniel@dseti.org to a social media post or some public record of your testimony and we’ll go from there.
Introduction
Anomalous body marks have been used as evidence for supernatural encounters since at least the 1500s with the witches’ and devil’s marks. Alien abduction researchers in the 1980/90s presented as supporting evidence, most notably as a criteria for the UFO Abduction Syndrome defined in the 1992 booklet Unusual Personal Experiences. The booklet was published by Robert Bigelow, who later ran the governments UAP study program disclosed in the famous 2017 New York Times article Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’ and also supported research into alien implants. This document introduces D-SETI’s Body Mark Extractor tool as a first step of producing a database of these marks for research purposes.
There is no central database of body mark cases, although some individual researchers or groups of experiencers publish their datasets. Alien abduction body marks were primarily documented by Budd Hopkins in his notes, with only a handful of images publicly available now through his books or recorded lectures. Karla Turner was an experiencer and researcher who collected experience reports and photographs, publicly available through her books and recorded lectures. The tradition of experiencer-researcher continues with Mike Clelland, Nancy du Tertre, and Jay Anderson who all reported triangular body marks and write on topics related to alien/NHI encounters. Most researchers document the mark and its association with events, but can not explain its appearance. Some researchers and groups focus on specific types of marks like the Red Grid Mark Phenomenon (RGMP) or the Target Symbol Mark Phenomenon (TSMP).
Like Vallee, I wondered why the work of interstellar doctors would leave scars, then hypothesized the marks may be communication in the universal language of geometry. I published an integral survey of body marks as my Field Guide to Anomalous Geometry, which directly arose from my own geometric body mark experience and my academic writing about the hypothesis. I surveyed multiple mark types, the abduction researchers public records (I suspect there’s a trove in the Archives of the Impossible), and social media for sources of reports.
In the Field Guide, I extracted the marks through a manual process, printed them out, then draw geometric observations on the image. The process was guided by dreams associated with my geometric body marks. They taught me how to make meaning from the marks using geometry as a meditation tool. I used this method to observe that some marks, like Paul Vidal’s DIAL mark, might be a word or letter of an encoded message sent across all DIAL marks like Stan Romenak’s or else in similar geometry like in the King’s or Kitei’s Phoenix Lights footage.
D-SETI’s Body Mark Extractor is the first step to building a database of geometric body marks that may constitute a SETI-style signal sent through dreams. This tool automates most of the process I used to extract the body mark from the photo, so that I could include it in the book in a very abstract and non-personal way.
Geometric Body Marks Associated with Dreams and Encounters May Be a SETI-Style Communication
This tool was created to test the hypothesis that that anomalous body marks involving dreams of ET/NHI or UFO/UAP contact may be a SETI-style signal in the universal language of geometry. The tool produces a standardize image that enables comparison across marks by cropping and centering the mark within a 1200 pixel square.
I hypothesize that there will be both an encoded message, like imagined in movies Contact and Arrival. Each marks will be a like a word or letter of the message. I imagine that the message will be consistent with criteria explore in the paper SETI by Entanglement. To satisfy the skeptics, I begin with the hypothesis that the mark physically caused by a misidentified natural event, coincidence, and synchronicity with a communicative and powerful dream experience. In other words, the mark is an omen to be interpreted religiously. I also hypothesize that the marks are psycho-somatic such that the dream causes a strong impression that is unconsciously manifested through an immune response.
In any case, there is need for a database of these reports that is created by a human using standardized and AI-assisted processes. This tool is the first step to producing such a database, which I will do by hand using tools like these I’ve made with AI. I’ve written everything in this document by my heart and hand (no LLMs), but I made this tool vibe coding with Gemini to speed up my process.
Geometric Inquiry is Both Objective and Subjective
This tool extracts body marks using techniques the author in the production of his book Field Guide to Anomalous Geometry, which used a standard procedure to document and study dozens of anomalous body marks. This tool accomplishes a labor intensive step of testing the hypothesis that anomalous geometric body marks may be a SETI-style signal.
This tool enables two paths of inquiry:
- Objective research into these marks by producing images that are easily read by computer vision programs
- Subjective meaning making by producing images that can be printed and used in creative process
The Field Guide defined as way to make meaning from the marks as omens and psycho-spiritual events. After producing the abstract black and white images, the next step in analysis is geometric observation, in which the author attempts to produce a ruler-and-compass diagram of the mark.
Once such a drawing is produced, the figure may be described in terms of a single circle, which is understood to be a mandala or a psycho-spiritual container for a contemplative event. With the Extractor, you are able to crop the output image to the mark and rotate the image, which will produce a square image based on the mark’s widest dimension. This ensure that images produced in this way can be compared with one another just by dropping them in a slide show or measuring light/dark ratios using computer vision.
Research Using Extracted Body Marks
The Extractor will be used to produce an initial dataset that will exhaustively and systematically document marks indicated by the survey in the Field Guide to Anomalous Geometry. These include the reports of the Red Grid Mark Phenomenon, Target Symbol Mark Phenomenon, Dots in a Line, Nearly Equilateral Triangle, and marks reported in association with dreams or encounters within alien abduction, ET contact, or NHI encounter literature.
I will focus on several initial sources:
- ExperientialDreaming.com
- Karla Turner’s books and lectures
- Budd Hopkin’s books and lectures
- AlienJigSaw.com body mark page
- Public social media reports
- Experiencer submitted reports
Research Participation, Informed Consent, and Fair Use
I am no longer an academic, at best you could categorize me as an independent researcher in the integral and dream studies disciplines, which are based in humanities and social science. However, declare that my interest and practice with dreams is a spiritual practice at this point and I make no claims that hypnosis produces anything other than dreamlike trances.
I am unsure how to ethically proceed with human subject research. However, I am compelled by my own dreams to conduct this research as if it is a spiritual and creative dreamwork practice. Therefore, I am framing this work as the research phase of a new book (Field Log of Anomalous Geometry) that will focus on public body mark cases. The database will be based on the extracted body mark, which is a geometric fact and therefore a creative work that essentially transforms the original photograph. The database will include paraphrased facts about the reports.
Therefore, the ethics of this project will be determined by fair use copyright law involving Youtube videos, published books, and social media posts. In order for your mark to be included in the database, you must first publish the photos and story in some public way that I can access without logging into a platform (like a public Reddit post, Imgur link, Youtube video, etc).
FAQ
This tool is designed to facilitate reporting and study of anomalous geometric body marks that people often report with dreams or dream-like experiences by extracting the mark from a photo.
What does this tool do?
This tool extracts an image of a body mark from a photograph, producing a high contrast version of the mark completely extracted from its personal context.
Why should I use this tool?
This tool produces a clear black and white image that can be printed and studied. You may then print out the mark and draw on it or analyze its geometry.
The final image is abstracted from the image of your skin, so you can share an image of the mark without revealing your private parts
What are anomalous body marks?
Anomalous body marks are marks that you discover, but do not remember the marking or the memories involve anomalous events. The most famous types of marks include alien abduction marks, demon marks, and so on. This tool was made with the Red Grid Mark Phenomenon in mind.
Typically, the experiencer seeks an explanation for the mark because of its strangeness or accompanying intuition or memory about an encounter.
Such marks have been used for centuries as evidence for supernatural encounters.
How should I photograph my marks?
You should photograph your marks in clear light from straight on. If it is on your back or a hard to reach place, a tripod and self-timer could help you or a friend. Try to keep the skin neutral and not stretched.
Take multiple photographs over multiple days from several angles. Include a coin next to, but not over, the mark for a scale reference in some but not all photos.
Why doesn’t this tool work for me and my mark?
There are several reasons why this tool wouldn’t work. First, there might be a bug in the software or something went down somewhere. It is completely free and hosted using free cloud services, so there’s no promise of uptime or service.
This tool was developed using an iterative process on images that were available, which means it was only made better when the author discovered a limitation or error in the extractions.
Various marking types or skin tones may confuse the system, in which case you can email the author, daniel@dseti.org, with a sample photo and he will likely upgrade the system handle your case.
How do I send you my mark for the Research Database?
Please publish your photos and report in a public social media or blog post, then e-mail me at daniel@dseti.org the URL with explicit permission for me to include it in a public database. The post needs to be public to some degree, meaning that internet strangers may discover it, such as a Reddit post from a throwaway anonymous account.
In this way, the ethics of our research relationship will be governed by fair use copyright law, rather than human subject research. You need to make the decision to make your mark and story public, even anonymously, outside of the database, my writing, or our relationship.
