You’ve just discovered a strange mark body. Maybe you woke up and your partner asked what was that on your back. You look in the mirror and you see a grid of red dots. You have no idea what caused it and there’s nothing in your house with that pattern. Maybe you remember a dream. Maybe your body feels weird. Maybe you were reading about aliens, UFOs, interdimensionals, angels, demons, djinn, or whatever word you want to use for those supernatural beings that are easy to disbelieve in the day and fear in the dead of night.

What does it mean? How did it happen?

So you start to search the internet for other examples, you Google some thing like “why grid of red dots on skin” and you get results about petechiae, which doesn’t match your marks. You switch over to the images tab, then see dozens of similar marks from people inquiring about their own Red Grid Marks. So you start to click around and you find incredible stories and hypotheses about the marks.

You might have this mark, some other mark, or no mark at all. I’m going to tell my story with the Red Grid Mark Phenomenon (RMGP), the Dots in a Line (DIAL) body mark, and the Nearly Equilateral Triangle (NET) body mark. Regardless of mark, this story will speak to your intuition that your mark is meaningful, whether you had it yourself or you’re interested in another’s case.

Before we continue, I need to make a disclaimer. I’m discussing anomalous body marks used as evidence for supernatural encounters. If you have had a mark or an encounter, please first consider these events as medical events that may signify a change in your physical or mental health. I am a scholar and researcher, but I am not a doctor or psychologist, therefore please consult the relevant professional for your situation. Discovering unexplained marks on your body that you attribute to space aliens, demons, ghosts, or whatever may indicate serious physical or mental conditions. Personally, I believe that there is a common psychospiritual marking phenomenon associated with entity encounters that is best understood as a shamanic event, requiring the marked person to adopt a nonscientific perspective in order to resolve the psychological tension the unexplained mark caused. In other words, your mark is like an omen or oracle that invites you on a shamanic journey that will be unique to you.

To continue the story of the body mark, eventually you’d find your way the the Red Grid Mark Phenomenon Experiencers and Researchers Facebook group. You might join it, then share your photo with the group and discover that hundreds of other have had similar marks and are similarly questioning them. Some have easy answers like fishnet or mesh patterns in cloths, lawn chairs, and hot tub suction port covers that you never have actually seen, but might have sat on. Most people don’t have easy answer and they have gone through their own debunking process and remain stumped. Some consult with doctors or nurses, who don’t have a good answer but aren’t really concerned.

At some point, you might interact with me and I might ask you if you remember your dreams and offer a few observations about the geometry of the mark. I’ve been a moderator of the RGMP Facebook group for several years. I became interested in the mark as a potential evidence for alien abduction, ET contact, or other UAP related phenomenon. I followed the precedent of Budd Hopkins, a 1990s abduction researcher who promoted one of the hot tub marks as possible evidence for an alien encounter.

While some people believe this mark is evidence of abduction, the majority of people do not, but no one can really prove it. I’m interested in this mark because the discussion felt empirical, both respecting people’s personal hypotheses while acknowledging standards of evidence needed for proof. The discussion lacked the supernatural horror flavor that is often present in other body mark discussions like alien triangles, demon scratch marks, or the target symbol mark phenomenon.

The RGMP is associated with powerful or strange dreams. It was initially defined and investigated by website called Experiential Dreaming, which published a dossier of dozens of well documented cases along with the findings of a multi-year team investigation by experiencers. The RGMP Facebook group also self organized a survey, which you can see the results of in the group files. While I am part way through a methodical study of the dreams, it seems to me that the dreams share similar themes and often involve the same entities reported during hypnagogic encounters that are often felt as hyper-real and are associated with supernatural events.

Not everyone reports powerful dreams or discover their marks upon waking. Some people report getting marks while driving during the day. Many people do not remember dreams or even think they are related to the marks. This leads us to one of the most important concepts that we need to adopt while investigate these marks. Even though many marks look similar, they may have radically different causes. Even though we use the acronym RGMP, which sounds like a singular thing, it is actually an umbrella term for marks with unidentified causes. Every person and mark is unique. The same issue stands for UAPs or UFOs, which are tempting to think of as alien space craft when we read about them in the news, but often resolve to weird perspectives on ordinary things like satellites.

I can find the hot tub suction covers that explain some RGMP. People have figured out which hair dryers cause some TSMP, like Mick West with the mark reports publicized by Jaques Vallee. Some bed bugs truly do bite in equilateral or sacred geometric patterns. However, I am interested in the dreams and intuitions of meaning associated with these marks that are real regardless of the explanation. In my opinion, there are some marks that truly seem to me to be evidence of encounters with entities like demons or aliens, but we will need to discuss how they are real.

In my opinion, the encounters are complex phenomena that involve imaginal or dream-like states of consciousness that may resolve to expressions of the Self or collective psyche. In my opinion, these marks may demonstrate that our self is much bigger than we imagine. I personally believe that inquiry into these marks, when seen as communication with intelligence that may actually be the collective unconscious, an NHI, a demon, or the Higher Self, may lead to mastery of the technology frequently associated with UFOs and UAPs like time travel and teleportation.

Can I prove it? No, not yet and I might not want to. I enrolled in a PhD program at the California Institute for Human Science to do something like that and wrote several papers setting up the foundations to study conduct a study about these body marks in my dissertation. However, I am concerned with dreams and intuitions of meaningful encounters, but not necessary the mark as evidence. For example, I am still interested in the geometry of the hot tub cover marks when the experiencer sees those marks as a omen related to a dream or encounter. Therefore, I based my inquiry in transpersonal psychology and integral studies. These methods document inner subjective experiences and they consider quantitative data or scientific findings, but are not science themselves. Of course, the physical cause of the mark is relevant to the inquiry, but not my primary concern like that of a scientist or debunker.

I am classically educated in the western liberal arts and trained in Integral Studies. While I apply methods to my research, my aim is to make meaning and interpret the body marks and reports like a text. My methods are more like comparative literature than science. Even though my PhD coursework was in Integral Noetic Sciences in an institute for Human Science, I am doing something more like philosophy or art criticism than science (although I will frequently turn to the actual social science of dream studies).

This leads me to my primary hypothesis about alien, demon, or otherwise supernatural body marks. They are psycho-spiritual omens. If someone is reporting the mark as meaningful, the reporting act itself documents and demonstrates this hypothesis. Therefore, we can apply personally significant systems of meaning making to these marks. I’m interested in sacred geometry, gematria, and a variety of esoteric symbols. I’m interested in alien abduction lore and contemporary dialog about UAPs. I’m interested in sleep paralysis, hypnagogia, and all the entities associated with it. I often observe similarities to alien encounter cases put forward by Budd Hopkins or Karla Turner, both 1990s abduction researchers whose lectures are available on Youtube. However, I am doing comparative literature and not science or investigation per se, not primarily focused on the mark as proof of abduction like hypothesized by Hopkins. In this way, it doesn’t matter if the mark is caused by an ordinary source because it is the synchronicity with powerful inner intuition like dreams that matter.

Of course, I have my pet hypotheses about how and what certain marks are. I would bet that many of these marks are caused by a psycho-somatic mechanism. For example, I encountered a credible case of a person dreaming they fell off a bike, then awakening to discover road-rash like marks. In this way, the dream might involve a mental or psychic interaction with an entity or even the collective unconscious, which imprints a frequency or geometric idea so deeply on the dream that it manifests on the body.

I have another similar hypothesis about electronic communication with ETs and spirits. Spirit mediums and ET researchers have often used a variety of electronic devices to communicate with the entities. I tried a method developed by Jimmy Blanchette and Mark Sims, who are researchers within the CE-5 or Human Initiated Contact Experience traditions, most famously promoted by Steven Greer. The method takes two identical short wave radios set to the same frequency. The experiments then send a telepathic invitation to aliens met during remove viewing. If one radio goes off while the other stays silent, then something anomalous is happening and it could be direct communication from the aliens. Or so the theory goes. However, it only works with very specific types of short wave radios, which suggests that the experiment exploits a manufacturing or design flaw, otherwise, we should see similar results with walkie talkies or other devices.

In my experiment, I used Enochian Magic as the means to remote view and telepathically communicate with so-called NHIs, while filming the two short wave radios. Enochian Magic is a type of ceremonial angelic communication ritual deeply influential to the Western esoteric tradition and UFO lore. During the experiment, I spent weeks exploring with how they worked in different spaces. I could trigger the ET communication behavior by turning on my cheap laser jet printer or by using a magnetic sensor tied into my Raspberry Pi micro computer. In the ritual, the radios seemed to respond to my chanting and the intensity of my inner experience. They chattered more than normal (and I filmed them at a similar time without me doing the ritual) and sometimes in cadence with my words. The experiment show me that likely my own energy system caused those specific radio’s design flaw to activate, or something like that, I’m not an electrical engineer.

Another favorite hypothesis follows the Earth Lights hypothesis, which was explored in Persinger’s God Helmet experiments. The idea is that many alien encounters truly involve physical encounters with balls of light, which the Earth Lights hypothesis suggests might be like ball lighting and forms the basis for the will-o-the-wisp and fairly lights tradition. The hypothesis suggests that the bizarre and dreamlike encounters with aliens, fairies, or spirits maybe explained as an effect of the electromagnetic field of the ball of light on the human brain. Therefore, the UAP may be physically real as something like ball lightning, but the encounter with the alien, spirit, or daemon takes place within the human’s inner experience. The ball lightning produces a trance, in which the experiencer slips into something like a lucid dream mixed with a hypnagogic hallucination.

This hypothesis is quite plausible, in my opinion, because we have precedents in the literature for hyper-real encounters with aliens during hypnagogic hallucinations. It does appear that stimulation to the Temporoparietal junction will produce a perception of an entity or shadow person, similar to those from hypnagogia. Further, there is a frequency following response of the brain to entrain its brainwaves with visual or auditory stimulation, like binaural beats or strobe lights. Finally, there are actual examples of ball lighting and plasma behaving moving as if they were intelligent. Additionally, many people currently interested in UAPs and encounters are also interested in plasma.

This hypothesis then suggests that UAPs are like balls of plasma that are physically real in the same way lightning is physically real. According to experiencers, they often behave as if they are intelligently controlled. Encounters with the orbs will produce strange effects that vary among experiencers, even in the same encounter. Some experiencers might have missing time where they just remember looking at the orb and all of a sudden it is hours later. This is the subject of my book Missing Time Found, which is what brought me to this hypothesis. I’ve had the honor to use hypnosis for dozens of experiencers of missing time and UAP/NHI encounter, including several experiencers of RGMP who report dreams of entities and sought to recover memories. Memory recovery is its own can of worms that the book unpacks. The unaddressed risk of harmful false memories in experiencer studies within the accredited academy is why I withdrew from my PhD program. I am conducting my research on other spiritual or shamanistic authority, which I will discuss later.

My favorite alien body mark hypothesis suggests that the body marks are caused by physically real encounters with intelligently controlled balls of light, often called orbs. Just as the orbs can radiate visible light and maintain a geometric pattern in the sky, so too can they radiate a light that could burn the skin in geometric patterns. Given the testimony of experiencers, it seems tame to hypothesize that the orb UAP could fly in a geometric pattern, shrink down, and burn the skin with its radiance.

I was guided to this hypothesis by my own practice of D-SETI, the Dream Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence. Since around 2012, I have used dream incubation and lucid dream practices to invite contact experience with ET/NHIs and to gain insight about ET/NHI contact. Since dreams are personal matters, I must understand myself in order to offer my dreams as evidence for ET/NHI contact, which I do not do here or now. Rather, I produce dream journals, art, or inquiries like this instead of scientific evidence, although I would seek to scientifically explore this hypothesis.

While I was drafting the Missing Time Found book, I found myself seeing synchronicities in my life with the marks and experiences reported in the Red Grid Mark Phenomenon group. I found myself imagining who the mark makers may be and it seemed to me that that were intelligent, creative, and even funny. That night, I made a sincere invitation to the mark makers for contact and to mark my body, if indeed they were intent on highest good for all, aligned to the Bodhisattva path, etc.

Nothing happened till I had a series of dreams several months later, then discovered a geometric body mark on my leg. The mark was a DIAL, dots in a line mark, not a RGMP mark. I intuited that this was the mark I requested, but I had no intuition how to interpret it. Then, I had another series of dreams that taught me to use ruler and compass geometry to interpret the marks. I’ve told the story in my video series The Universal Language and in my book Galethog the Grey’s Field Guide to Anomalous Geometry. I found similar examples of these marks through social media, which are quite clear, have similar geometry, and similar dream-like encounter narratives. The most famous example is Stan Romanek, in which he present his DIAL mark as alien abduction evidence on ABC news. The most clear example is Paul Vidal, who had dreams of a grey-hybrid alien NHI and whose mark is geometrically precise in ways that clearly suggest intelligent design to me. The geometric language of the DIAL mark is very similar to UAP footage like the Phoenix Lights by King or Kitei. It is present in the famous woodcut The Celestial Phenomenon Over Nuremburg. It is present in a Utah petroglyph called The Meteor Shaman.

There is a similar congruence with the Nearly Equilateral Triangle (NET) mark, which is often called the alien triangle. The most famous case associated with abduction narratives is Amy Rhylance’s case. The most relevant case to the Earth Lights is Nancy du Tertre’s case, because she was a subject of Persinger’s God Helmet experiments. The triangle was tracked by Karla Turner in her 1990s abduction research. Jay Anderson’s case connects the triangle to UAPs and CE-5, as it was part of his origin story that launch his UAP content creation career. It is also connected to reports of triangular UAPs in the sky. The triangle is interesting because most people use words like perfect or equilateral to describe their marks, but the marks appear to be slightly skewed from an equilateral triangle. Disconnected cases reported as perfect triangles equally deviate from the perfection of an equilateral triangle.

By a happy coincidence involving my study of Enochian Magic, I was also studying Neoplatonic Theurgy and reading essays by Gregory Shaw at the time of my inquiry and I discovered a powerful precedent. I love these esoteric topics, but it is too much to unpack right now, you can check out my Book of Galactic Light or my video series The Dee Code to explore.

Shaw’s article Theurgy and the Platonist’s Luminous Body gave me a clue that geometry, balls of light, trance, and encounter phenomenon may be documented in the Western esoteric tradition. His paper described the worldview, practice, and goals of Platonic theurgists, which is a sort of philosophic ritual priesthood that the empires tend to persecute and erase. This essay describes a goal of theurgy as the reclamation of the souls original form as a luminous sphere. The language of the essay is hard for me to follow, but I know that this passage about photogogia describes the moment of encounter with the light of the UAP, orb, or whatever. The passage describes the ochēma, which is like a vehicle for the soul.

When the ochēma is sufficiently purified theurgists may perform phōtagōgia, a technique of filling the porous ochēma with light.54 Iamblichus describes it as follows: Phōtagōgia illuminates with divine light the ethereal and luminous vehicle of the soul (aitherōdes kai augoeides ochēma), from which divine visions (phantasiai theiai) take possession of our imaginative power moved by the will (boulēsis) of the gods.55

This illumination was the theurgist’s goal: to become united and filled with divine light.56 When divine visions “take possession” of our imagination this may be seen as a passive experience but it awakens our most profound agency. Iamblichus says that in phōtagōgia we become possessed by the boulēsis of the gods. In the critical moment of phōtagōgia the theurgist no longer seeks the god, he becomes the god.

And later Shaw writes:

Theurgists who had achieved divine luminosity through phōtagōgia became demiurgic, divinely creative; they possessed powers unavailable to those lost in the polarities of material life. In our terms, they had supernormal powers. They knew things they could not possibly know; they did the impossible.

In other words, Neoplatonic theurgy was a sort of yoga to cultivate a trance encounter with a divine entity through the manifestation of a spherical vehicle of light that grants supernatural power and knowledge. The essay refers to the sphere of light as a body and gives it the power to do miracles. If such things actually happen in the physical world (encounters with physical spheres of light that produce miracles), then it abductions or other entity encounters might be explained as spontaneous occurrences of what the theurgists sought through practice.

Shaw’s essay described the spheres of light in terms of bodies and vehicles, giving me the impression that a variety of spirits, gods, daemons, human theurgists, and other entities might inhabit the sphere of light. I called out to ETs and aliens, but I called the entities in the dreams that marked my body by a different name. I called them the The Geometry Lords. They spoke to me through dreams and taught me about dreaming, the true nature of alien abduction, and the secret histories of the West. They spoke through omens like body marks falsely attributed to alien abduction. They compelled my study of geometry and inquiry into these marks.

Whereas the world would have me see these orbs of light as UAP and NHI, unknown and nonhuman, my direct experience contradicts these bizarre names. For me, those that visit me, they are my ancestors. They are me and you at some transpersonal level. They are the Iatromantis, the physician-seers. They represent a rich legacy of Western shamanism at the boundary of history and rationality that empires have sought to erase. These ancient dreaming geometers inspire and compel my inquiry. They speak to me more directly in dreams than any book published through the Academy.

And so, in your journey to find some meaning in a mark, you have arrived at where many people before you have arrived. You have no more scientific understanding than when you first discovered the mark. You still might not know what caused it. You still might not know what it means. And, you have just considered a ridiculous hypothesis, that the marks could be caused the the spirit of ancient geometers who have magic powers because their bodies are now plasma orbs, who are accidently summoned by dreamers who imagine them as space aliens for some reasons.

Actually, I think the entities that inhabit the orbs and cause the body marks relate to the soul of the experiencer, whatever that means to you. For example, regional tales of ghosts lights may relate to the history of its inhabitants. In other words, your mark and visitations might relate to your family history, the history of the place you live, perhaps the future of these things, maybe your soul lineage or whatever. Platonism is clear about reincarnation. The soul has a history that you have forgotten but must now remember. The Neoplatonists describe a descent of the soul from the heavenly realms, i.e., from the stars. In this way, the marks may be caused by extraterrestrial entities if your soul so resonates with these starry ideas.

In conclusion, I shared my own pet hypotheses about anomalous body marks associated with NHI and UAP contact, but I’m not attached to if you believe them or if I prove them. For me, its more about about the practice of inquiry about these strange omens. They’re endlessly fascinating and I truly do believe that many of the marks are calls to shamanic initiation that involve your own spiritual lineage.

Your body mark is an omen and perhaps a direct communication in a language that your soul remembers. We know from Plato that geometric intuition is equivalent to the soul remembering the divine world, which was its home before incarnation in this world. The reason that no one can scientifically explain their cause is that omens exist outside of normal time, in a dimension perpendicular to the dimension of past and future. To find meaning in this way, you must contemplate the geometry of your mark and let your soul remember what it does and to encounter who it will.

You discovered a strange mark on your body, you have an intuition of meaning, and perhaps you encountered otherworldly lights or beings. You searched for a cause for the mark and found nothing that satisfied you. Perhaps it really was aliens or whoever it is you that dreamed. You looked further and you found this story. My story. And I told you how I tried to psychically invite space aliens to give me the RGMP mark, but then I had a series of dreams with characters I called the Geometry Lords who I now imagine gave me several DIAL marks, taught me about lucid dreaming, and identified themselves as the Iatromantis, the physician-seers at the beginning and end of our Western histories.

Where do you go from here? Only you can say. Like I said, the most important concept in dealing with these body marks is that the we’re dealing with unique cases with unknown causes. I still don’t know the material cause of my body marks. By coincidence, we could have identical marks and dreams, and they might mean different things to us and have different causes. Only you know where you go from here. I hope you find meaning in your mark. My only hope is that I help you remember that you can find valid meaning outside of and along with science. If my inquiry or hypotheses resonate with you or intrigue you, please feel free to reach out, I love to hear about these experiences and to look at the geometry.
