Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program published in 2017 by the New York Times, reported by Kean, Blumenthal and Cooper, defined a new era of UFOlogy. The article seriously reported on seriously studies on UFOs, termed UAPs, by the US government with Bigelow Aerospace under the AAWSAP program.
The article was frequently cited as proof that there is mainstream acceptance of UAP reports and, therefore, openness to encounter experiencer testimony. Kean and Blumenthal went on to write a series of articles about UAP disclosure that documented a mainstream resurgence of interest in UAPs and NHIs (UFOs and ETs).
