Dreams and UAP/NHIs

Dreams and ETs

Dreams and ET/NHI contact have more to do with one another than you can imagine.  People often report ET contact or UFO sightings to be dream-like experiences.  Dreams are the only natural precedent for ET/NHI-associated missing time.  Dreams are a side-effect of ET contact and some might say that ET contact is a side-effect of shamanic dreaming.

If you were raised in Western materialist culture, you probably think dreams are meaningless.  You probably can't imagine how or why 90% of Earth's cultures believe that dreaming is just as real, or more so, than our waking world.

D-SETI is based on the hypothesis that ET/NHI contact is dream-like and that our means of knowledge regarding ET/NHI is dreamwork.  An implication of this premise is that hypnosis is actually misidentified shamanic dreamwork.

What are Dreams?

Everyone spends about 1/3 of their lives in sleep. Most people associated dreams with sleep, but dream scientists include day-dreams, hallucination, and other waking-but-subjective experiences within the scientific definition of dreams.

Nearly everyone dreams every night, but not everyone remembers their dreams. It appears that dream recall responds to attitude, intention, and mindfulness practice.

What are UFO/UAPs and ET/NHIs?

We all sort of know what UFOs and UAPs are, even though they're unidentified. It's hard to keep up with the lingo and acronyms, but it's really important that we come to a workable understanding.

While it would seem easy or clear-cut to define ETs and UFOs, it's actually a very hard process. The challenge has to do with the tension between mythic and logical ways of knowing. We have a lot of testimony about ET/NHI contact and not a lot of physical evidence, just like with religious experience.

ET/NHI Contact is Dreamlike

ET/NHI contact is dreamlike and it often happens during sleep and dream time.  People think of it like a dream and are often confused if it was a dream or if it was real.

Things can be dreamlike, real, and non-physical all at the same time.  Saying something is like a dream isn't saying that its not real.  Defining something as dreamlike just invites you to understand it in mythic way, not logical ways.

Missing Time is Dreamlike

Missing time is one of the most important and elusive phenomenon associated with UFO/UAP and ET/NHI contact.  Missing time episodes typically involve sensing a UFO or ET and then experiencing a gap in chronological time or else a highly strange or dreamlike memory.

There are many hypotheses regarding missing time.  Most assume that the episodes involve tampering with the encoding of memory, either by the ETs or by the experiencer's unconscious mind. UFO/UAPs appear to move through and outside of our local spacetime, which means that memory encoding may not happen as expected within Cartesian space.

Alien Abduction is Dreamlike

Alien abduction is still a taboo topic and no one seems to understand it. It's important to note that not all ET/NHI contact experiences are abduction. Alien abduction is characterized by the experience of being taken against your will, generally to another location where technical or medical procedures are performed.

Our notions of alien abduction are defined by the hypnotic regressions of only around 250 abductees, performed by around 10 hypnotists. It appears that abduction happens much less frequently than positive ET/NHI contact experiences. Negative abduction appears to represent only about 10% of contact experiences.

UFO/UAP Disclosure is Dreamwork

Disclosure is a term that the UFO studies community uses to describe the process of UFO evidence becoming public. The notion is that the government or military has known about UFOs for nearly a century and has engaged in disinformation campaigns to keep it all secret. Some people think they were afraid of losing control of the population when we learned this huge truth. The UFO community wants the government to "disclose" what it knows about UFOs.

There's a lot of anger and frustration associated with disclosure. After all, if you've ever seen a UFO or encountered an ET, then no amount of silly science-fiction films or political lies will convince it's not real. However, if UFO/ET contact is dreamlike, then its testimony is dreamlike.

Hypnosis is Dreamwork

Hypnosis is a problematic source of objective and historic testimony. No one really knows how it works. But it's one of the only ways that experiencers of ET/UFO contact have to work with their experiences.

Given that hypnosis is clearly not memory enhancement, something else must be going on. People find healing, insight, and transformation in hypnosis simply by working with their own minds. Hypnosis is understood to be physiologically like a nap and psychologically like a daydream. Dreams are real and lead to healing, insight, and transformation.
