Multiple Ways of Knowing
There are many different ways of knowing, just like there are many different types of causes. Materialist culture values objective and historic ways of knowing, but subjective and intuitive knowledge is just as meaningful.
There's no problem with multiple ways of knowing, so long as you're clear about it. It wouldn't make sense to inform political policies on individual intuitions, just as it wouldn't make sense to establish your personal dreams on economic data.
When dealing with UFO/UAPs and ET/NHIs, it is very important to understand multiple ways of knowing. Many people assume that mythic and dream-like ways of knowing are equivalent to historic means of knowledge, which is why we have such fantastic stories of ETs and have no idea about how to handle it.
A perfect example of this is the US Congressional Hearing on UAPs, in which they rejected narrative testimony because it was too fantastic. As a culture, we need to shift from exclusively logical and historic means of knowledge and to include mythic ways of knowledge in order to make sense of the UFO/ET contact phenomenon.

Objective and Subjective
In materialist imagination, objective means real and subjective means made-up
Objective refers to objects of experience, like the things surrounding you out there in the world of spacetime and matter. Subjective refers to who is doing the experiencing, which is generally understood to be you, however you define you.
It gets tricky because our objective science leads to challenging discoveries like quantum physics, the observer effect, and psi phenomenon.
Objectivity and subjective are poles of a spectrum or concept we have about the world and, therefore, is an unreal concept. Something else entirely is happening.

Mythic and Logical
The foundation of Western philosophy is based in the distinction of mythic and logical ways of knowledge
The tension between objective and subjective means of knowledge has a very long history. One of the earliest expressions of this tension is the death of Socrates, who is honored as the father of Western philosophy. You might be familiar with the Allegory of the Cave, in which Socrates presents the famous metaphor for human reason.
At his death, Socrates was asked why he was unafraid to die. He used logical discourse as long as he could, but ultimately has to rely on mythic knowledge. Mythic simply means a spoken tale or truth. Socrates wasn't afraid to die because of his experience in the Eleusinian Mysteries, in which he saw the realm before life and after death through the guidance of a daemonic being we might now call a NHI or ET.

Nondual, Holistic, and Integral
Narratives regarding ET/NHIs and UFO/UAPs require nondual, holistic, and integral means of knowledge
Western culture has historically valued materialist and objective perspectives and violently persecuted mythic sources of knowledge, like the martyrdom of Socrates, Giordano Bruno, and indigenous populations.
Even though there is a history of violence and oppression against the mythic, the ET/NHI and UFO/UAP phenomenon requires nondual, holistic, and integral studies. These means of knowledge involve all layers of information, not just physical evidence.
It is important to build skills in relating with mythic knowledge. Mostly importantly, anyone who studies these things are required to participate in nondual ways. You can't just observe the phenomenon like a natural scientist might extract specimens from the wild. You actually have to go into the wild and live it yourself.
Dreamwork, not hypnosis or forensic investigation, provides the most appropriate framework for studying ET/NHI contact. When you actually listen to what experiencers are saying, you will hear that they describe and think of their experiences like they are dreams. It's just that these dreams are real.

Monophasic and Polyphasic Cultures
The elevation of objective-waking consciousness over all other modes of consciousness is a culture artifact, not a quality of reality
Anthropologists use the term "monophasic" to describe Western materialist culture and the term "polyphasic" to describe cultures that honor multiple modes of consciousness. They understand that waking, dreaming, and imaginal states of consciousness are like "phases" of consciousness.
It turns out that 90% of the cultures on Earth are polyphasic. We might use the term "shamanic" to refer to these cultures. They honor the psychical reality of dreams and visions. They have consciousness-based technology (ritual) to work with the unseen reality.
Western culture is traditionally polyphasic and shamanic. Socrates provided an example of a polyphasic Western philosopher engaged in ritual through the Eleusinian Mysteries. The ancient dream practices associated with Asclepius, who is god of dream and medicine, provide another example.
Once you open up to the multiple phases of consciousness, you will see the mythic realm's influence on nearly every major historic event.
